[ Pillar 1 · Web & Tech ]

Websites that don't just look good — they bring customers.

Fast, modern websites for SMEs — from the business-card site to the complex web application.

[ Scope ]

What's inside a Heldwerk website.

A website isn't a design project — it's a tool that should bring inquiries, build trust, and ease your day-to-day work. Heldwerk sites are built for that.

Performance · circuit board // FEATURE A 01

Performance you can feel

Lighthouse scores above 95. Load times under one second. On mobile, on the train, even when the network is weak. That's not an optimization gimmick — fast sites get found better and abandoned less.

Mobile first · laptop and workspace // FEATURE B 02

Mobile first, not mobile too

Over 70% of your visitors come from mobile. A Heldwerk site is built for mobile and adapted for desktop — not the other way around.

CMS · woodworking in the workshop // FEATURE C 03

Content you can maintain yourself

If you want, with a CMS you understand without training. You change text, images, and appointments yourself. For structural changes, call.

SEO and GEO · dashboard with charts // FEATURE D 04

SEO and GEO from the start

Search engine optimization isn't optional — it's built in. Including optimization for AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity.

[ Process ]

From first call to go-live in four steps.

First call · two people in conversation // STEP 01 30 MIN

First call (free, 30 minutes)

We talk about your business, your audience, your current situation. You tell me what you need — I tell you whether and how I would build it. No sales pressure.

Concept · notebook with plan // STEP 02 1 WEEK

Concept and fixed price

Within a week you get a written quote with fixed price, clear scope, and timeline. No uncapped hourly rates.

Build · hands at workshop work // STEP 03 ITERATION

Build and review

I build. You see progress on a preview domain and give feedback. We iterate until it fits — within the defined scope.

Handover · handshake // STEP 04 LIVE

Handover and maintenance (optional)

Go-live including training. You can maintain the site alone or sign a maintenance agreement (from CHF 250 / month). Both are equally welcome.

[ Honest about what I skip ]

Where you should go to someone else.

A workshop is also defined by what it doesn't do. If you need any of the following, Heldwerk isn't the right address — and I'll tell you that in the first call.

  • Pure design projects without strategy. If you already have a finished mockup and only need implementation, traditional web developers are cheaper.
  • E-commerce platforms with thousands of items. Shopify and WooCommerce exist for that. I build shops up to a manageable size, not beyond.
  • WordPress maintenance for large legacy sites. That's its own discipline where specialized providers are better.

[ Common questions ]

What you're probably going to ask next.

[ FRAGE 01 ]

How long does a typical project take?

+

A business-card site goes live within three to four weeks. A larger business website within six to eight weeks. More complex projects are planned individually during the concept phase.

[ FRAGE 02 ]

Which technologies do you use?

+

For marketing sites: Astro, Next.js, Tailwind. For web apps: React, Vue, or Angular depending on the project. For CMS needs: Sanity, TinaCMS, or Bricks Builder (WordPress) if you want autonomy. I don't pick what's most fashionable, but what fits best.

[ FRAGE 03 ]

Where is the site hosted?

+

On Swiss servers or European cloud providers with Swiss data location. Compliant with Swiss data protection law, no data transfer to the US.

[ FRAGE 04 ]

What happens if you're no longer around?

+

Fair question. Answer: code and content belong to you, everything is documented. You can hire another developer without starting from zero. That's not a marketing promise — it's built in.

[ FRAGE 05 ]

Can you also just do the design?

+

No. I don't work as a pure implementer of mockups created elsewhere. If you need that, there are better addresses.

Let's talk about your project.
